If your family orders groceries on Instacart, the right credit card can knock money off every order. Some cards give you monthly Instacart credits, some include a free Instacart+ membership, and some earn bonus points on every Instacart order.
Here’s every card with Instacart benefits right now, plus how I’d decide which one to use.

Best Instacart Credits: Chase Ink Business Cards
The Ink Business Cash® and Ink Business Unlimited® have the best Instacart benefit of any card right now:
$20 Instacart credit every month (up to $240 a year)
3 months of free Instacart+ when you enroll
No annual fee
That’s $240 a year back on groceries from a card that costs nothing to keep. This is the card I use for my own Instacart orders, and I show exactly how in my post on how I use my Chase Instacart credit for grocery pickup.
Don’t think you qualify for a business card? Lots of people do without realizing it. If you sell on Etsy, tutor, run a side hustle, or even create content, you may be eligible.
Many Chase co-branded cards include a $10 monthly Instacart credit (up to $120 a year) plus 3 months of Instacart+ when you enroll. Eligible cards include:
Hotel cards:
World of Hyatt Credit Card and World of Hyatt Business Credit Card
Marriott Bonvoy Bold®, Boundless®, and Bountiful™
IHG One Rewards Premier, Premier Business, and Traveler
Airline cards:
Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus, Premier, Priority, Performance Business, and Premier Business
Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia Visa Signature® cards
Chase Air Canada Aeroplan® Card
Select United MileagePlus personal cards
If you already have one of these cards for the hotel or airline perks, this is free money you might be missing. Check your Chase account for the enrollment link.
Instacart Mastercard: Best for Frequent Instacart Shoppers
The Instacart Mastercard® from Chase is made for people who use Instacart a lot:
5% back on Instacart purchases (on up to $6,000 a year, then 1%)
$50 Instacart credit when you’re approved
2% back on dining, gas, and select streaming
No annual fee
The catch: it earns cash back, not travel points. If you’re saving up for a trip, one of the cards below may be a better fit.
Cards That Earn Bonus Points on Instacart Orders
These cards don’t have Instacart credits, but Instacart orders usually count as grocery purchases, so they can earn bonus points.
Chase Freedom Flex®: Grocery stores are a 5x bonus category from October 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027 (on up to $1,500 in combined bonus purchases each quarter). Check the terms when you activate to see whether Instacart is included. I break down the whole fall bonus in my [Chase Freedom Flex Q4 2026 post]
American Express® Gold Card: 4x points at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $25,000 a year).
Blue Cash Preferred® from American Express: 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets (on up to $6,000 a year).
Tip: How Instacart orders are coded can vary. After your first order, check your statement to make sure you earned the bonus.
What Happened to the Sapphire Instacart Benefits?
The Chase Sapphire Preferred® and Sapphire Reserve® used to include Instacart perks, but they aren’t part of Chase’s current Instacart benefit list. If you want monthly Instacart credits, look at the Ink or co-branded cards above instead.
Which Card Should You Use for Instacart?
Here’s how I’d decide:
You want the most free groceries: Ink Business Cash or Ink Business Unlimited ($240 a year, no annual fee)
You already have a Chase hotel or airline card: Enroll for your $10 monthly credit, since you’re already paying for the card
You order on Instacart every week: Instacart Mastercard for 5% back
You’re saving points for travel: Use your Instacart credit first, then put the rest of the order on a card that earns bonus points at grocery stores
My strategy: I use my Ink credit for small pickup orders between big grocery trips. That way the credit covers almost the whole order, and I’m not paying for a bigger order just to use it.
Is Instacart+ Worth It?
Instacart+ usually costs $99 a year and includes $0 delivery fees on eligible orders and lower service fees.
With a Chase card, you get 3 months free. After that, it renews automatically unless you cancel. On most cards, the monthly credit only works while your Instacart+ membership is active, so before the free months end, decide whether the credit is worth the membership cost for your family.
Quick math: With the Ink $20 credit, you get $240 a year in credits. If you pay $99 for Instacart+, you’re still ahead by $141, plus free delivery.
Set a reminder a week before your free membership ends so you don’t get charged by surprise.

I was researching index funds and happened upon the points and miles community through creators who also post about budgets, financial independence, and investing.
Points and miles allowed those people to travel and work toward financial independence simultaneously.
Thank goodness I got started when I did. The past almost two years of travel have been something we will never forget.
Earning points and miles through credit cards is only a good choice if you have the financial discipline to use them, like cash/debit cards.
Since we started traveling with points and miles, we have had more money going into our investment and savings accounts than ever.
