Transfer Partners Guide
Complete guide to Chase, American Express, Capital One and Citi transfer partners and how to use them.
Citi ThankYou Points is a versatile and popular rewards program that offers cardholders numerous ways to maximize their travel experiences.
With a wide range of redemption options, including airline and hotel transfer partners, paying for Disney and Universal tickets, Vacasa Rentals through Wyndham and cruises provides flexibility and value for both frequent and occasional travelers.
You must hold the Citi Premier card to transfer Citi ThankYou points to any of their 18 transfer partners.
Any Citi ThankYou points earned from other Citi cards can be combined into your Citi Premier account and then sent to a transfer partner.
Airline and Hotel Transfer Partners
One of Citi’s program’s standout features is its flexibility when transferring miles to airline and hotel partners. This feature allows cardholders to convert their miles into loyalty points with leading airlines and hotel chains, greatly expanding the possibilities for redeeming rewards.
Citi has partnered with various airlines, including popular carriers like Turkish Airlines and Singapore Airlines, along with its sole hotel transfer partner, Wyndham.
Transferring your ThankYou Points to these partners can yield substantial value, especially when booking premium cabin flights or luxury hotel stays.
To make the most of this option, keep an eye on transfer bonuses that Citi occasionally offers. These bonuses can significantly increase the value of your transferred miles, making it an ideal time to plan that dream vacation or upgrade your travel experience.
Step-by-step directions on how to transfer your points.
Transferring Citi ThankYou Points to transfer partners is a valuable way to maximize the value of your rewards.
Pro tip: Create a free account with any loyalty programs you may be interested in. This will allow you to search for point availability and streamline transfers and bookings.
Here are step-by-step directions on how to transfer points from your Citi account to transfer partners:
Step 1: Log into Your Chase Account
Start by visiting the Chase website and logging into your account using your username and password.
Step 2: Access Your Rewards Dashboard
Once you’re logged in, navigate to your account dashboard. Click “Citi Thankyou points” and click “View/Redeem.”
Then a new page will load, then click “Travel Rewards.”
Step 3: Locate the Transfer Partners
In the rewards section of your account, you should find an option for transferring your miles or points to travel partners. This option is typically labeled as “Convert Rewards.”
Step 4: Choose the Transfer Partner
Click on “See All Ways To Redeem.” to transfer miles or points, and you’ll be presented with a list of Citi’s transfer partners, which include airlines and hotel chains.
Finally, scroll down and click “Get Started.”
You can FINALLY pick your transfer partner next to your chosen transfer partner.
Browse the list to find the partner you want to transfer your miles to. Each partner will have its own transfer rate and instructions.
Ensure you have previously created a free loyalty account with the transfer partner you want to transfer to.
Step 5: Enter Transfer Details
After selecting a transfer partner, you’ll need to provide specific details such as:
The number of miles or points you want to transfer.
Your loyalty program account information for the transfer partner (e.g., your airline frequent flyer number or hotel loyalty program account number).
Confirm the transfer rate.
Step 6: Review and Confirm
Double-check all the information you’ve entered to ensure it’s accurate. Once you’re confident everything is correct, confirm the transfer.
Step 7: Complete the Transfer
Once you confirm the transfer, Citi will process it. Depending on the transfer partner, the miles or points may take some time to appear in your partner loyalty account. This can range from a few minutes to several days. Check out the table I’ve created below for typical timeframes.

I was researching index funds and happened upon the points and miles community through creators who also post about budgets, financial independence, and investing.
Points and miles allowed those people to travel and work toward financial independence simultaneously.
Thank goodness I got started when I did. The past almost two years of travel have been something we will never forget.
Earning points and miles through credit cards is only a good choice if you have the financial discipline to use them, like cash/debit cards.
Since we started traveling with points and miles, we have had more money going into our investment and savings accounts than ever.
