You must hold the Chase Ink Business Preferred^® Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card to transfer Ultimate Rewards to any of their 14 transfer partners.

These three cards are “Access Cards” because they give you access to all transfer partners.

Any Ultimate Rewards earned from cards like the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card and the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card, Chase Freedom Unlimited®, or Chase Freedom Flex® can be combined into your Chase Ink Business Preferred^® Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card account and then sent to a transfer partner.

I like to refer to these cards as “Earner Cards” because they often have great point multiplier categories that can earn you lots of points and be combined into Chase Ink Business Preferred^® Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, or Ink Business Preferred® Credit Cardvia the Chase dashboard.

Transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards to transfer partners is a valuable way to maximize the value of your rewards. 

Pro tip: Create a free account with any loyalty programs you may be interested in. This will allow you to search for point availability and streamline transfers and bookings. Never transfer points until you know there is availability. Once you transfer points to a partner, they cannot be transferred back.

Here are step-by-step directions on how to transfer points from your Chase account to transfer partners:

Step 1

Log into Chase and hop into the Ultimate Rewards page by clicking on the image like the one below. If you have multiple Chase Ultimate Rewards earning cards, be sure to click on an ACCESS cards dashboard.

Click Then, click the drop-down arrow for TRAVEL and click, Transfer points to partners.

Step 2

Up will pop all the transfer partners Chase utilizes. As you can see in this particular example, there is a 60% transfer bonus to IHG at the time of writing.

Then, click on the partner you want to use and enter your airline or hotel loyalty number. This will connect your accounts.

Step 3

Transfer your points. Most of the time, the transaction will go through rather quickly. See below.

Step 4

After selecting a transfer partner, you’ll need to provide specific details such as:

• The number of miles or points you want to transfer.
• Your loyalty program account information for the transfer partner (e.g., your airline frequent flyer number or hotel loyalty program account number).
• Confirm the transfer rate.

Step 5

Double-check all the information you’ve entered to ensure it’s accurate. Once you’re confident everything is correct, confirm the transfer.

Step 6

Once you confirm the transfer, Chase will process it. Depending on the transfer partner, the miles or points may take some time to appear in your partner loyalty account. This can range from a few minutes to several days. Check out the table I’ve created below for typical timeframes. 

Step 8

Log into your loyalty account with the transfer partner to confirm that the miles or points have been successfully transferred and are now available.

Step 9

Login to your airline or hotel loyalty account and book travel with your transferred points!
