If you have a Chase credit card, you might be sitting on a valuable benefit that can save you hundreds of dollars through December 31, 2027. We’re talking about DoorDash perks—including free DashPass membership and monthly credits for convenience, grocery, and retail purchases.
In this post, I’ll break down:
What DashPass is and why it matters
Which Chase cards come with DoorDash benefits
Step-by-step instructions to activate and use your perks
Pro tips to get the most value from these credits
What Is DoorDash?
DoorDash started as a meal delivery app, but now it’s so much more. You can order groceries, convenience store items, liquor, and even products from select retail stores.
If you choose delivery, you’ll pay service fees and need to tip your driver. If you choose pickup (when available), you can avoid most of those extra costs.
What Is DashPass?
DashPass is DoorDash’s subscription service that gives you:
$0 delivery fees on eligible orders over $12
Reduced service fees
Exclusive promos
Normally, DashPass costs $9.99/month or $96/year. But with certain Chase credit cards, you can get it for free.
Which Chase Cards Offer DoorDash Benefits?
Most Chase cards now include some level of DoorDash perks, but the most generous benefits are on premium travel cards. Here’s what you can expect:
Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card
Free DashPass through December 31, 2027
$10 monthly credit for non-restaurant orders while enrolled in DashPass That’s $120 per year in credits, which easily offsets the card’s annual fee.
Chase Sapphire Reserve®
Free DashPass through December 31, 2027
Two $10 credits each month for non-restaurant orders
$5 monthly dining credit This is huge value if you already use delivery or convenience services.
Chase Ink Business Preferred®
Free DashPass through December 31, 2027
One $10 monthly credit for non-restaurant orders
Freedom and Slate Cards
Free DashPass for 6 months if activated after 2/1/25
One quarterly $10 credit for non-restaurant orders
Co-Branded Chase Cards (Southwest, United, Hyatt, etc.)
Free DashPass for 12 months after activation
One quarterly $10 credit for non-restaurant orders
To find out which cards have the Door Dash credit, login to your Chase account and click on Benefits and Rewards.
Important: These benefits don’t stack across cards on the same DoorDash account.
How to Activate Your DoorDash Benefits
Getting started is simple:
Sign up for a DoorDash account (or log in if you already have one).
Add your eligible Chase card as the payment method.
Activate DashPass in the app by clicking the Chase benefit banner.
You’ll now have free DashPass and your credits will load automatically each month or quarter (depending on your card).
How to Use the Monthly Credits
The $10 credits apply to non-restaurant orders only—think convenience stores, grocery stores, liquor stores, and DashMart. Here’s how to redeem:
Choose Pickup over Delivery to avoid fees and tips.
Add eligible items to your cart (get as close to $10 as possible).
On the checkout screen, toggle ON the Chase monthly benefit.
Place your order and pick it up within an hour to avoid cancellations.
Pro Tip: If you have multiple accounts in your household (and multiple cards), split the credits across different DoorDash accounts to maximize value.
Maximize Your Savings
Here are a few ways to get even more out of your credits:
Stack with DoorDash promos (e.g., 50% off groceries)
Combine with store coupons for extra discounts
Use the credits for essentials like milk, snacks, or even pizza for movie night
One of our favorite ways? Friday night pizza for under $7 using two $10 credits from two accounts.
Is This Worth It?
Absolutely. If you have a Sapphire card, that’s up to $120–$240 a year in free value—and that’s on top of other perks like travel protections and points earning.

I was researching index funds and happened upon the points and miles community through creators who also post about budgets, financial independence, and investing.
Points and miles allowed those people to travel and work toward financial independence simultaneously.
Thank goodness I got started when I did. The past almost two years of travel have been something we will never forget.
Earning points and miles through credit cards is only a good choice if you have the financial discipline to use them, like cash/debit cards.
Since we started traveling with points and miles, we have had more money going into our investment and savings accounts than ever.
